Our Best Backsplash

Our Best Backsplash

Whether installing new, or replacing an existing - backsplash is a great way to revamp a space, without a huge undertaking.

Putting in a backsplash can be a cost-effective, and in some cases an easy enough DIY project. Below we will share some of our favorite looks in backsplash to help inspire your creativity – and with plenty of time to have the job done before the holidays!

Marble is a timeless finish which has held a spot in the top backsplash types for quite some time.

We have many marble-look tiles in varying shapes and sizes. However, the majority of our marble backsplash options are in fact ceramic or porcelain tile mimicking the look of marble.

Using a ceramic or porcelain over a natural stone is less maintenance – it is recommended to seal natural stone tile in order to prevent anything from penetrating the stones surface. Going with a marble-look instead of the real thing allows for you to splash your spaghetti sauce without the worry of staining!

Subway tile is an all-time favorite. Subway tile gives clean lines, and a nice simple backdrop that is not going to overpower other features of your space (like your countertop!)

They come in a variety of sizes, with our most popular being 3”x6” and 3”x12”. We also offer a variety of textured and coloured subway tile options.

If you are looking to add more visual impact while still using a subway tile you can install it in a more detailed pattern, like a herringbone, or you can combine more than one colour.

Above is an example showing the use of two different colour subway tiles together

Another popular look is to install an accent tile with your subway tile (see ‘Accents’ below).

BONUS: if you are looking for a DIY project, a ceramic subway tile is a great starting off point into the world of tile installation!

If you are looking to add some glamour to your space, glass tile is the way to go.

We carry a large line of glass tile; in linear and 1”x1” mosaics, subway tile sizes in glossy, frosted and textured finishes, and more! Using a glass tile is a great way to create a luxurious high-end feel. Glass is also versatile option – it can work to create both a modern look or a more traditional look.

Shape and Pattern play a huge role in the world of home décor. Designers are using different shape tiles to give a big statement. Herringbone, hexagons and more…

Using a tile with a unique shape is a great way to make a statement in your space. We have a variety of shaped tiles and mosaics.

Using an accent tile with a field tile in your backsplash can create a tailored look.
